The Crew Royalty Chronicles connected with G-REP on a foggy Monday morning in Atlanta, Georgia where Rabb Love the Creator of Guerrilla Republik was breaking down the series Boardwalk Empire.  “Brothers let business effect their personal life.”  “What I recognized in this series is other Nationalities do business and don’t deal with emotions.”  “They have mastered the statement that most use as a figure of speech: It’s BUSINESS not personal and to the untrained eye one would think it’s a movie, but they’re really dropping jewels.” Rabb Love

The Crew Royalty Chronicles: In a few sentences or a paragraph what do you want the people to know about you and or Guerrilla Republik?

HIT LIST Presents:  The SARGONITES

The Crew Royalty Chronicles is grateful for the distinct honor in interviewing one of our HIT LIST Members: Morbius & Outcome; the dynamic duo also known as The SARGONITES!  Sit back and enjoy the ride with the Sargonites as they open up and let you experience the inspiration behind what they do in the name of Kings.

The Crew Royalty Chronicles: In a few sentences or a paragraph what do you want the people to know about you or The SARGONITES?

Sargonites: That we are no different than the guy that lives next door to you.  We have the same everyday problems as everyone else but we express those problems and social issues through music to bring attention to them!

Sargonites: The word Sargon comes from the text of Sumeria, the first recorded civilization in the world which was in the region that was known as Mesopotamia (the Middle East).  And the first King was known as King Sargon. But you also find him in the first book of the Bible, Genesis but in his Hebrew name, Nimrod.  Nimrod was a great warrior of god, so being that we feel we are warriors of the creator then we are symbolically descendants of Sargon making us The Sargonites.

The Crew Royalty Chronicles: What inspires you and what inspires you to flow?

                Sargonites: Life!

The Crew Royalty Chronicles: Where do you see The SARGONITES Five years from now?

The Crew Royalty Chronicles:  What are you listening to in your whip or headphones?

Sargonites: If it’s original with a good delivery then we feeling it! NO CLONES, DRONES, OR CARBON COPY RAPPERS!!

The CREW Royalty Chronicles:  What are you wearing on your feet?

                Morbius:  Adidas

                Outcome:  Air Force Ones

The Crew Royalty Chronicles:  What’s your favorite vegetable?

Sargonites:  We really don’t have one.

The Crew Royalty Chronicles:  Name your favorite movie?

                Morbius:  Predator

                Outcome:  Aliens

The Crew Royalty Chronicles:  What’s your favorite exercise?

                Morbius:  Rhyming

                Outcome: Running

The Crew Royalty Chronicles:  Give an inspirational quote to anybody who reads your interview.

Sargonites: “You need to get up get out and get something, how will you make it if you never even try?  You need to get up get out and get something; Cuz you and I got to do for you and I.” -- Goodie Mob

It's TIME to Peel the Wrapper BACK on the RAP GAME

It’s Time to Peel the Wrapper Back

On the RAP GAME.

By The Crew Royalty Chronicles

As I sit back and listen to TRUE HIP-HOP I ponder how the content and lyrics have changed over the years.  Some for the better and a lot for the worst; I must admit.  But what I miss most about TRUE HIP-HOP is the very essence of the craft and the ability for an MC to paint a vivid picture of their life experiences and situations on wax, or rather CD’s.  I grew up to statements like, “Don’t push me cause I’m close to the edge, Fight the Power, It’s Like that and that’s the way it is, and Be a Father to your child.”  Messages that uplifted and embraced current circumstances and issues that were arising in our communities, our neighborhoods, and States, Coast and Burroughs.  What happen to shining the light on the problems that plague us?  Since we got 99 problems and a female ain’t one.   What happen to the BOLD messages that call out the powers and principalities of this World?   Is it mums the word because our President is Black?  It’s these same powers that command the attention of the masses to move to the rhythm of their DRUM.  Do you like the beat of their DRUM better than you like your own internal beat? Can’t you feel something is off balance?

We’re in the days where we have Money to Blow, or we Blow it like tissue, or we got Racks on Racks on Racks.  Now don’t get me wrong, because I LOVE a hot beat on a HOT track and I have nothing against any artist I have quoted. I could literally go on for days about how my brothers got it like that on wax and many in reality, but the real fact of the matter is a small portion of you have it to throw, blow and show; but the masses of your brothers and sisters are suffering.  Which brings me to my second question: Are you part of the solution or part of the problem?  The lyrics of today are about popping bottles, red bottoms, money, hoe’s and clothes and jewelry.  I can’t forget the jewelry, “The Bling-Bling!” If it’s FAKE or even if it’s the real deal you’re enticing someone less fortunate to step to you for all the wrong reasons.  Then who you going to call to get your chain back?

Personally, I feel a lot of the music lacks the substance of the real issues at hand, like the World Wide Revolution going on right in front of your eyes.  So I have to ask again, is it mums the word because our President is Black, or because you have been programmed to deny what’s going on around you?  I’m a straight shooter and I like to cut to the chase, so let me make this as plain as I can.  Is it just me out here witnessing that most of the music in HEAVY rotation has no affect on what’s going on?  Well let me do the honors of bringing you up on Millions occupying their streets, where you might get car jacked in broad daylight if that part can bring someone a knot.  Where your door can get kicked in if your grass is manicured and a Range is parked in front, or better yet, the Sherriff may roll up on you and yours and put your belongings to the curb.  In the State of Georgia, specifically Gwinnett County foreclosures are at an all-time high.  An epidemic and the percentages are soaring through the roof. (http://www.wsbtv.com/videos/news/gwinnett-county-tops-list-of-foreclosure-notices/vDk2m/)

The News relays messages about the behavior all around the world, but will not point out the common factor to the cause of the behavior.  For every reaction there is an ACTION!  When you turn on your television you’re turning on a negative frequency that bombards your subconscious mind with images of inferiority, low self-esteem and depression.  You’re putting yourself in a position to take in all this negativity either first thing in the morning, or in the evening before you rest your eyes.  Listening to The News coupled with the radio programming when do you give yourself time to hear or read something positive?  Many are witnessing a decay in the very fabric of this Society, natural disasters, a subdued economy, assassinations, plots, massive robberies, car thefts, rituals, and vandalism, but when I turn on the radio all I hear is money this and money that.  Contrary to what the speakers are saying, and these contracted radio hosts, when I talk to REAL people about their financial situations and their economic outlook I hear it’s hard in the PAINT, It’s REAL in the field, and gas prices are outrageous, and food prices are running a close second.  Is it boiling down to gas or groceries out here?  Millions are living check to check or behind on their mortgage payments or facing foreclosure.  These situations are very different from the reality most of the RAPPERS want to project to the world.  Can someone RING THE ALARM?? WE ARE IN A STATE OF AN EMERGENCY!!

What is it going to take for the real lyrical content to be presented to the masses?  Will it be blogging??  Will it be Independent artist?  If so, will we support these artists who bring the TRUTH?  Or do we like to be entertained with fiction?  Better yet how is the fiction or non-fiction of someone else’s life advancing you and your family?  We have to DEMAND better.  Where my LEADERS at?  Where’s my Ride or Die Familia?  Where are the outlets that support the other side of the coin, the other side of the scenario?  It’s time for us to balance the scales and give the people both aspects of this reality.
While many say Atlanta is the Black Hollywood, there was a report disclosed that the margin between the Wealthy and the Poor is the largest in the State of Georgia.  So is “Black” Hollywood an illusion?  Wealth is for your bloodline not a temporary fix for the next G6, Maybauch, Mansion, etc... It’s for your seeds that are here and for your seeds to come.  It’s so your Heirs can chart their own destiny and not be in bondage by an oath or a contract.  Your Wealth should be transferrable to your descendants to secure peace of mind and freedom to allow them to create and dominate.  Sometimes I think the money aka Federal Reserve notes must exchange mindsets so the very function of the currency will be put to good use for the betterment of Humanity as a whole.  It’s Time to PEEL the WRAPPER back on the RAP GAME and let the REAL Leaders take the stage.

Peace, Love & Light… many of us will get out!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3a_yTdacRac

The Elements and Natural Origin of HIP HOP

The Elements and Natural Origin of HIP HOP

I AM HIP HOP! Let me first let this statement penetrate your membrane. I was one who played 45’s on my Mom’s stereo and rocked to the sounds of Grand Master Flash & the Furious Five, The Message, Run DMC, Flash Light, Shake Your Pants, Planet Rock, and all the songs that had a message of truth. The Roots of HIP HOP start with Jamaican born DJ Clive "Kool Herc" Campbell. He is credited as being highly influential in the pioneering stage of HIP HOP music, in the Bronx, after moving to New York at the age of thirteen. Herc created the blueprint for HIP HOP music and culture.

Knowing HIP HOP originated in The Bronx, New York. DJ Afrika Bambaataa outlined the four pillars of HIP HOP culture: Mcing, DJing, Breaking and Graffiti writing. Hip Hop music first emerged with disc jockeys creating rhythmic beats by looping breaks on two turntables, many called it sampling. The sounds of the craft traveled across the globe in record speed. We witnessed it go from the East to the West, to the South, to the North and in between to the Midwest in cities like Chicago, Ohio, Detroit, Minneapolis, and then abroad to international status.

We watched the elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water materialize into the purest essence of HIP HOP. Graffiti and Graffiti Artist represent the Earth, The DJ represent the Air; The Emcee who rocks the MIC represents the Fire. Most people can attest to how the sounds of Rakim’s voice moved the Crowd; and how KRS-1 reminded us of being Criminal Minded. The B-Boys & B-Girls, Pop Lockers, Break-Dancers represent the Water. Most realize our bodies are made up of 60-70% water, so we’re constantly in motion and in a state of attraction. The author Black Dot put this supreme science into a monumental book titled HIP HOP Decoded. (See source link below).

As HIP HOP blazed the scene and ventured to the WEST coast where Ice-T was up at Six in the morning, then the clock ticked to Eight, MC Eiht that is, and Too Short repped the Ghetto, and tonight was the night for DJ Quick. It was in the WEST when HIP HOP embarked on a new form of freedom of speech called Gangster Rap. NWA (Niggaz wit Attitudes) was credited for the introduction of the intense criminal element of the reality that plagued the inner cities, and ghettos of Compton, California and beyond. We can all agree any music with a message will ignite the masses, so when NWA dropped “F the Police” in 1988-1989, the group went under sever scrutiny. Governmental agencies intervened, Radio’s banned the album, concerts were interrupted when the group performed the song, and an all-out campaign to silence the group was initiated. Many say the late Eazy-E met with George Bush Sr. to discuss the future of NWA. I won’t speculate or open any doors of conspiracy because the idea could go on and on about what could have transpired. As of right now I’m just going to deal with the facts of HIP HOP and how we use to LOVE HER. Big up to Common Sense who brought HIP HOP back full circle; to allow the lovers of the craft to focus on the appreciation and true essence of HIP HOP. A reinstatement of the power and LOVE to uplift a fallen humanity allowed every Emcee the ability to experiment with a new style of self-expression.

As HIP HOP continued to preserver through the many forms of expression and consciousness, through the likes of A Tribe called Quest, Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kayne, De La Soul, Special Ed, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Salt & Pepa, Heavy D, LL Cool J, to the Illmatics aka Nas Escobar, AZ, the Roots, Fat Joe, Jay-Z, and the late Big Pun, and Big L, to name a few; to the movement of HIP HOP into the Southern Region.

Many felt the presence of South in the craft when the new dialect emerged with the southern draw sounds of Outcast, Goodie Mob, Eight Ball & MJG, Trick Daddy, Master P, Ludacris, and many others. The South grabbed a hold of the essence and rode it and continues to ride it until the wheels fall off. One time to TI and Grand Hustle. The Southern play a listic style was felt by the masses and well received, as well as the subtle message from Goodie Mob… “Listen to me now, believe me later on.” Let you know The South was on to something much deeper than what was seen on the surface. Which pushes HIP HOP back to the EAST where Wu-Tang grabbed a hold of the essence and let us know about the Killer Bees and the 36 chambers? We got 4 chambers in our heart? Really, is everything presented to us symbolic? Spoken in a way that we have to read the message in between the message? Just a thought for you to ponder and while you’re on that ask yourself…”Does CASH rule everything around you? “Cream get the money dollar dollar bill ya’ll.” Got to love Wu-Tang for giving us so many jewels to study, live by, and rock to all at the same time. Now that’s what I call talent in the highest form.

In closing, how did we fall from the highest forms of being The GOD’s of HIP HOP to the East Coast West Coast battle between Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls aka The Notorious Big? Was it yellow journalism? It’s important to know to silence a movement is to silence the leaders. Two of HIP HOP’s Icon's were gunned down in different cities, but were murdered in a similar manner; was it a coincidence or a set up? You do the math. How many times can someone roll up on an ICON and dump shots into their chest on a Boulevard or Strip with bystanders and witnesses and the case be an unsolved mystery? This battle created a war and division of great magnitude, and the tension between the two Coasts was so thick you could feel it in the air. HIP HOP was on the brink of severe break down and all the elements were out of alignment. Who would restore it now? Who would bring the message of TRUTH? Would the DJ’s step up and give HIP HOP the IV it needed to survive? Would the underground Emcees peek their heads above ground and give us the lyrical content to restore HIP HOP and the legacy to uplift? Or would the Elements continue to run a MUCK? Let’s continue to venture down the path and site the behavior of the craft. To be continued part 2 coming soon.
