Social Media: Do you value Privacy?

As each day passes we notice Social Media is playing a dominate role in people’s lives.  Facebook introduced a “LIVE” feature that if I’m not mistaking can only be accessed after you “Check-In” to a location.  Pinpointing your exact time and space in the Universe as you record live footage.  This is very interesting when you really analyze the bigger picture of what you are allowing.  Facebook will have more chronological information about your life experience then you will even remember if you don’t bother to journal good experiences.  Instagram has extended the video footage time so you can provide more of your experiences to the world.  I’m sure the new and upcoming platforms will provide different features but at the end of the day it’s your experiences:  Good, Bad, or Indifferent being collected.  Where is all this information being stored?  I’ll wait!

Secondly, we noticed a lot of people are willing to share negative news before promoting positive news.  The infamous statement screamed out in this day and time is “World Star”! Is this the Society we’ve become?  We watched a video where a women taped a man stealing a motorcycle in broad daylight and instead of calling 911 she elected to endanger herself and record the entire theft.  What good are you if you’re only going to record the incident and post it to Social Media?  This is a trained behavior that is abusive to your ability to discern when assistance is needed, and will ultimately dismantle your compassion for others.  Choose to be an “Agent of Change” not a spectator. 

Lastly, our personal opinion is that Social Media should not be used to tell your every move, your every location, your every experience.  We strongly believe that people that use Social Media for this purpose have very low self-esteem.  A person that seeks that much attention lacks a valuable amount of privacy, and love of self.  Would you ever believe you are under surveillance 24 hours a day, and that you contribute to over half of that surveillance by your Social Media behavior? Think about it!  We could attach various studies and research about how psychologist view this behavior and have diagnosed it as such, but we wanted to put it in layman's terms, very basic so you can comprehend how a behavior can turn into a chronic illness.  Be mindful, be aware, be cautious, be private, and love yourself.

What’s going on in my Marvin Gaye voice?  With the media frenzy surrounding Cam Newton and the Super Bowl 50 fiasco, Beyoncé’s half-time performance, and the 50 year Anniversary of The Black Panther Party; who would have thought tempers would flare from all angles?

When I look to The Scholars and Metaphysics Teachers they have written mixed views.  Debating the underline message of Black Power, or condoning a blatant attempt to subconsciously induce the viewers to accepting a trending alternative lifestyle.  The colorful rainbow display of flowers and other abstract designs ruffled feathers across social media platforms, and although the majority didn’t notice it at all, others denoted it to the Chakras in the human body.  I’ve  truly learned perception is EVERYTHING!   

However, the debate continues about the explosive video Beyoncé dropped a day before the Super Bowl called “FORMATION!!”  A powerful call for ladies to get In Formation.  According to The Law Dictionary, Formation is a definitive arrangement or pattern, often for a visual representation of display.  Putting together or organizing a group and or building a team.  The Formation video displayed images of Hurricane Katrina, Police Brutality, Natural Hair, and Nationality in the form of the Original Moorish Empire Headdress: The FEZ.  With an undertone of mixed genes from Alabama, Louisiana, to produce a Texas Bama who just might be a Black Bill Gates in the making.  https://youtu.be/LrCHz1gwzTo (Formation Video)

For the Scholars who emphasize Nationality as being the order of the day, the video did allude to Negro & Black which are subjects, proverbs, and titles that offer no substance.  Embracing these titles as your Nationality actually makes you Civiliter Mortuus.  According to The Law Dictionary, Civiliter Mortuus is civilly dead; dead in the view of the law.  The condition of one who has lost his civil rights, and capacities, and is accounted dead in law.

A lot of symbolic timing and messaging surrounding this topic, but my best advice is to STUDY to show thyself approved!  In a world that is moving at a rapid pace, where trigger fingers turn into Twitter fingers, it should be your own personal duty to seek the bigger picture that aligns with your knowledge of self, mind, body and soul.  Don’t be so quick to defend, offend, or Judge, but seek truth while keeping yourself open to hear other perspectives.  You just might be enlightened.

Lastly, be extremely mindful of distractions.  When the world has your attention on one thing just know without a shadow of doubt something is brewing behind the scene.  Hence, Operation Flint, Michigan! 

Crimes Against Humanity MUST be met with extreme punishment, a dis-honorable discharge of employment, and reparations to all parties involved.  We must STOP allowing significant issues that effect a Nation to be swept under the rug because of Sport and Play.  Get involved and be a part of the solution to bring clean water to Flint, Michigan.  As well as all the other cities and towns who have been subjected to this horrendous act of violence and malice; by those who have take oaths to protect and serve the public.

Be an AGENT of CHANGE!  Find an organization to donate clean water and or filters.
